Business Practices and Policies
Reservations:
Reservations require a deposit of $100.00. This fee is fully refundable if canceled up to 7 days beforehand; after that the full deposit is forfeit.
Remainder of payment due at time of equipment pick-up or delivery, or prior to commencement of trip, tour or service.
Reservations are firm when money is received. Upon promise of payment the customer may receive assurance that the reservation will be held an agreed-upon number of days at our discretion.
Returned check fee will be the amount that the bank charges VVPS + $10, but not less than $35.
Each rental item will have a "replacement cost" listed on the rental form with a customer signature acknowledging responsibility for that amount in event of loss or serious damage. Lessor damages will be assessed on a case by case basis at our discretion. If the customer is assessed the full "replacement cost" they will have the right to take the damaged item.
In the event of a VVPS employee being kept waiting at an appointed time, there shall be a charge of $10 per hour for each full hour wait. (In essence, no charge for less than 1 hour wait)
In the event of a "no show" at an appointed rendezvous, the customer is responsible for full charges as well as $10 per hour wait time where applicable.
Rental times are:
7:00 am to 12:00 noon for morning half-day rental
1:00pm to 6:00pm for full day rental
over 1 hour late return is assessed an additional half-day fee
Rental equipment that is returned late will be assessed a late return fee of up to, but not to exceed, the additional cost that the original rental would have totaled had it included the additional time period.
